Butler Tech now has two Business Professionals of America State Officers. On Friday 11/11/11, Tyler T., an IT Tech / Monroe senior, was elected by his peers as Ohio BPA President, and Seth S., an IT Tech / Middletown senior, was elected Parliamentarian.
This is a triumphant achievement to have two students from Butler Tech elected as Business Professionals of America (BPA) State Officers. These young men, along with their fellow officers, will be leading over 9,500 members in Ohio, the largest state association within BPA.
The Ohio Association has a student leadership team consisting of a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Historian and Parliamentarian. The State Leadership Team is responsible for setting and carrying out yearly goals for the Association. In addition, the team is responsible for planning two major annual conferences as well.
Congratualations to both these students.

Butler Tech held their annual All Staff day and as part of the celebration the staff of Butler Tech held a food drive.
The food that was collected at All Staff Day was donated to the: Christian Family Center Food Pantry on Heaton Street in Hamilton, Ohio. The Food Pantry serves about 50 local families and the shelves of their pantry were almost bare.
Food pantries, once a crutch for the most needy, have responded to the recession by opening their doors to all in need of a helping hand during these tough times. The extra food is being welcomed by the food pantry which are seeing big increases in the number of people seeking food.
The Christian Family Center Food Pantry wanted to express their thanks to all of the staff at Butler Tech with this card below.
