The Spirit of Construction receives an example of the Spirit of Butler Tech Students.

On October 22, 2011 in the Ballroom on the third floor of the Cincinnati Convention Center the Greater Cincinnati Construction Industry held their annual black tie Gala. Over 200 construction and construction related companies sent representatives to this year’s event, totaling over 1500 attendees. The event included a silent auction and a dinner along with a recognition event.

The Gala is designed to allow Greater Cincinnati Construction Companies to raise money that will later be given away as grants for worthwhile community projects and programs associated with the industry through a committee entitled The Spirit of Construction.

Construction Management, a Butler Tech satellite program housed on the Northwest High School’s campus, applied for and received a generous grant for this school year. The program was also invited to attend the event and show off their spirit toward the construction industry.

Representing the program were Adam C. and Jessie W., seniors in the program, along with their instructor, Mr. Broxterman. The students were quizzed by many of the attendees and used a power point presentation and hand outs to show just how much spirit a Butler Tech student has when given a chance to succeed.
