The Butler Tech Law Enforcement Institute offers specialized courses and customized training for police officers, court personnel, private security companies, social service professionals and individuals from the public sector who have an interest in the criminal justice system and law enforcement.

Instructors who teach in our Law Enforcement Institute come from a variety of backgrounds including law, psychology, criminal justice, finance, information technology and ethics. Our instructors bring a wealth of experience with an average of twenty years in the field.

The Ohio Peace Officer Training Organization recognizes Butler Tech’s Law Enforcement Institute as an official training site. Many OPOTA courses are offered at our Regional Public Safety Education Complex.
