Description

Supervisory position responsible for overseeing both the daily culinary and food service operations of the Café, which include but are not limited to:

  • Managing kitchen inventory, supplies and performance, budget planning, cost control, and safety and sanitation standards
  • Maintaining overall responsibility for daily menu planning, catering needs for the business, and supervising kitchen staff
  • Ensuring service standards are met and surpassed by creating an enjoyable experience for all customers with prompt service, quality food, and maintaining a clean and comfortable station(s).

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains overall responsibility for menu development, daily specials, planning and pricing
  • Responsible for inventory and supplies on hand and orders food supplies, ingredients, and other consumables on a scheduled basis as determined by menu and estimated number of customers
  • Responsible for supervision of food preparation and service, including general cookie duties (grill, stir-fry, etc.)
  • Oversees acceptable sanitation and food safety techniques and behaviors to ensure compliance with OSHA and FDA rules and regulations
  • Responsible for training, development, and performance management of team
  • Responsible for providing exceptional customer service
  • Partners with kitchen staff and Café Manager to set service standards
  • Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service
  • Standardizes and documents recipes, establishes production levels and inventory controls
  • Maintains and executes budget, P&L statement, and cost control process
  • Plans and executes catering needs while building relationships with customers
  • Prepares or directs preparation of regular and catered menu selections foods according to prescribed menus and recipes
  • Assists with miscellaneous Café projects
  • Interfaces with all levels of the organization in a corporate setting

Job Requirements

Experience and Education:
• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Related field beneficial
• 2-5 years of management experience preferred
• 3-5 years of experience preferred
• Previous experience in the culinary field beneficial

Special Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to lift 30lbs
• Must be able to stand for 7.5 hour shifts

Organizational Relationships:
• Has direct reports
• Interface with all levels of the organization in Home Office
• Partner with Client Group Representatives company-wide
