On Saturday, February 11, 2022, the 2022 Skills USA Southwest Regional Welding and Welding Fabrication Competitions were held at the Hobart Institute of Welding Technology in Troy Ohio. Fourteen schools from Southwest Ohio competed in the individual welding competition and the team welding fabrication event.
Senior Welding Technology Student Brody Hembree, (Edgewood) Senior, who earned the silver medal in the individual competition.
Preston Brown, (Madison) Senior, Jesse Bond, (Talawanda) Senior, and Tanner Meyer, (Ross) Senior, earned the gold medal in the Team Welding Fabrication Competition.
All four students will be competing at the 2022 Skills USA State Welding Events in Columbus Ohio on May 3rd and 4th.
