We offer full-time programs in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning/Refrigeration; Welding; and Industrial Maintenance Technology as well as specialized part-time training for Manufacturing Production Technician and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC). Stand-alone training classes are perfect if you need to update your skills or if you are ready to broaden your knowledge into new areas.

Solid industrial skills continue to be in high demand in our region. Whether you are looking for short-term training for career enhancement or to simply broaden your own skills, our part-time industrial courses will meet your career goals. Typically offered at night and on the weekends, these classes include AC/CD Circuit Analysis, Electrical Advanced Modules, Shop Math, and Basic Engine Repair. Butler Tech’s Law Enforcement Institute, 911 Dispatch Training, and Fire and Paramedic programs are among the best in Ohio. Our Regional Public Safety Education Complex offers state-of-the-art instruction and training facilities for students who want to make a difference.

Our part-time safety courses cover a range of issues for those interested in first aid, professional security and sport hobbyists. The first aid training, including first aid skill check and refresher classes, prepare students to respond to health emergencies. Just as medical emergencies can occur any time, boaters need to be prepared for safety on Ohio’s waterways. Boating enthusiasts can achieve peak performance through our safety and coastal navigation programs. Because our public safety career programs are recognized as among the best in Ohio, our short-term classes offer the same high level of instruction. Butler Tech’s 56,000 square foot Regional Public Safety Education Complex houses state of the art multi-media classrooms, an indoor twenty-lane firing range, computerized firearms, driving simulators and physical fitness facilities.
