Paramedics stand on the front lines of emergency response and health care. Their sound training and judgment are tested every day. Butler Tech prepares students for this job through an intense program that combines time in the classroom and labs with time in clinical settings like hospital emergency rooms, ambulances, operating rooms, mental health facilities and obstetric situations. Certified paramedics can find jobs with private ambulance services, hospitals, clinics, fire departments and urgent care centers.

SALARY RANGE        
$30,000 to $45,000 for full-time employment

PROGRAM TIMES      
Full-time day-time Paramedic Academy meets from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. two days per week beginning in January.

Full-time evening Paramedic Academy meets from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. two evenings per week beginning in August.

High School Diploma or GED

EMT-B Certified in the State of Ohio
Hepatitis B Vaccination
Medical Exam and Tuberculosis Test
Interview with the Paramedic Program Coordinator
