If you have the passion and interest to make a difference as a firefighter, Butler Tech’s Fire Rescue Academy will prepare you for this rewarding and challenging career. Our experienced faculty leads intensive study in Fire, EMS, Technical Rescue, Emergency Vehicle Operation and Hazardous Materials incidents. Training at our state-of-the-art Regional education Safety Complex includes up to 40 hours of experience in our propane-fueled fire tower. Butler Tech offers the only evening fire rescue academy in Ohio.
Butler Tech’s Fire Rescue Academy offers training to volunteer firefighters and a part-time program for Ohio’s Level I and Level II Firefighters. Because much of a firefighter’s workday is spent in emergency medical response, Butler Tech’s full-time Paramedic program is also open to full-time firefighters.
