DAILY LAB

Financial Services is a college-prep business program designed for juniors and seniors who are interested in pursuing college majors and future careers in finance. Students in this two-year program explore a broad range of business topics, including:

Students in Financial Services have the opportunity to learn many of the latest technology applications used in business today. Business documents are prepared using Microsoft Office 2007 – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher. Professional website and publication design are explored using Adobe CS3 Design Premium – DreamWeaver, PhotoShop, InDesign, Illustrator, Flash, and Acrobat Professional. Students also learn how to create video presentations using Windows MovieMaker.

Teamwork, effective communication techniques, and time management skills are learned through extensive involvement in classroom projects and activities. Students gain valuable leadership skills and have the opportunity to compete at regional, state and national levels as members of Business Professionals of America. And most importantly, Financial Services prepares students for a successful transition to many exciting college majors and careers.
