Project LIFE is a combined education and work experience program for students with disabilities who have completed their high school academic requirements but have deferred taking their diploma. This is a two-year transition program that prepares students for future community living and employment.
The students' day consists of 2.5 hours of classroom instruction time and 2.5 hours of job experience in school- or community-based work. The program follows a regular school calendar and typical school hours.
PROJECT LIFE 201
Program Overview
Project LIFE is a combined education and work experience program for students with disabilities who have completed their high school academic requirements but have deferred taking their diploma. This is an individualized transition program that prepares interns for future independent living and employment.
The interns' day consists of a combination of classroom instruction and job experience in school or community based work. Project LIFE 201 primarily focuses on job training skills with a portion of the curriculum based on independent home living skills. Project LIFE 201 is a full day program and follows the Butler Tech calendar. Please see your individual instructor for specifics.
Project LIFE 201 is located in the Lakota school district.
How do I apply?
Each Project LIFE site has a limited number of interns. In order to apply you must complete the application with your home school district staff.
The application will be reviewed by a selection committee followed by an interview. The screening committee will place interns at individual Project LIFE sites based on individual needs.

| • Job Rotations – Entry level positions with various skills in an unpaid internships. |

PROJECT LIFE 101
Program Overview
Project LIFE 101 curriculum focuses on lessons and activities that based on individual student needs. Project LIFE 101 focuses heavily on independent home living skills.
Project LIFE 101 consists of three areas: classroom instruction, home living instruction and job site instruction. Each intern gets an opportunity to learn in each of the three settings.
Project LIFE 101 is a full day program that follows the Butler Tech calendar. Project LIFE 101 is located in the Ross Local School District.
