The Auto Collision Technology program is designed to provide students
with knowledge and skills needed for careers in automobile dealerships
and independent collision repair shops.
Students in Auto Collision Technology will learn to straighten,
repair, align and restore auto body components to their original
shape and dimensions as well as estimate the cost of repairs. Duties
may include parts replacement, straightening damaged body panels,
welding, auto glass replacement, auto frame straightening, damage
analysis, estimating repair costs and refinishing damage.
Students are prepared to become certified
by NATEF/ASE (National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation).
Auto Collision Technology is offered at D. Russel Lee Career-Technology
Center.

Organization
As club members, students can develop their leadership skills; compete at local, state and national levels; travel, and have lots of fun! Club activities include officer elections, meetings, fundraisers, service projects and social events. Career-technical student organizations are a wonderful way to build a resume while meeting new friends and having a great time. All Auto Collision Technology students are members of SkillsUSA. |
