Teen ProgramsFuture Students

 

 

 

This course offers the students a great opportunity to explore the vast possibilities in early childhood education (newborns to grade three). We offer students hands-on training with infants, toddlers, preschool and the early elementary years.

Some topics covered are:
  • Assessing Children
  • Child Development Principles and Theories
  • Children with Special Needs
  • Curriculum Development and Lesson Planning
  • Early Childhood Content Standards
  • Guidance for Young Children
  • Ohio Department of Education Law
  • Promoting Safety, Health and Nutrition

Students in this program receive training in first aid, communicable disease recognition, CPR and Child Abuse & Neglect Detection.

Early Childhood Education is offered at D. Russel Lee Career-Technology Center.

Student Organization

All Early Childhood Education students are members of Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA).
