This course offers the student a great opportunity to explore the vast possibilities in construction technology.  The course is an introduction to several hand and power tools and how to safely use them.

Some topics may include:

  • Building Materials
  • Plans, Specifications, and Codes
  • Wall and Ceiling Framing
  • Roofing Materials and Methods
  • Cabinetmaking
  • Electrical Wiring
  • Carpentry as a Career Path

This course is an excellent opportunity for students to explore the world of construction while at the same time increasing their skills with tools.

With the skills acquired in this class you will be able to go on to a Butler Tech engineering program.

Introduction to Construction Technology is offered at Colerain, Fairfield Freshman, Middletown, and Northwest.
