The Engineering Technology Tech Prep program is a two year program that offers introductory, intermediate to advanced training in computer-aided drafting and design.  Students are introduced to the world of Mechanical and Architectural theory and design basics the latest and newest industry recommended software and equipment. 

Some of the topics we cover are:
Mechanical Drafting Skills / Computer Aided Drafting (Solid Works & A+ Cad):

  • Single & Multi View Drawings with Orthographic Projection
  • Dimensioning techniques with Tolerances & Geometric Tolerances
  • Pictorial Views & Drawings
  • Assembly Drawings

Architecture Drafting Skills / Computer Aided Drafting (Solid Works & A+ Cad):

  • Residential House Plans for single to multi level dwellings
    • Floor , Elevation, Foundation, Site plans
    • Wall sections, Exterior, Interior detail

Other Coursework and Activities

  • Model Building
  • Field Trips to local manufacturing industries and building sites
  • Career Opportunity Awareness
  • Career Technical Student Organization Activities (Skills USA)
  • Leadership Activities

Engineering Technology is offered at Colerain, Fairfield, and Ross.

This is a Tech Prep program.
