Greentree Health Science Academy is a program for students wishing to earn an Associate and/or Bachelor’s Degree after high school.  Students spend half of their day in two different health labs and half of their day in two different academic classes. Students have the opportunity to earn 7 credit hours each year while at Greentree Health science Academy. 

During a student’s junior year, he/she rotates through five different health technology labs.  These include: Medical Assisting, State Nurse Aide Training, Medical Terminology, Medical Office Management, and Fundamentals of EMS. Students end their year with a college-credit class Allied Health 103. Students visit hospitals to shadow and nursing homes to practice nurse aide procedures.

During a student’s senior year, he/she rotates through five additional health technologies labs. These include: Medical Terminology II, Health Information Management II, Fundamentals of Practical Nursing, Fundamentals of Pharmacology, Fundamentals of Dental Assisting. Each senior has the option of an additional lab which can include: exercise science, phlebotomy, EKG, Internship at the hospital, or Microsoft Certification for HIM. Seniors have the opportunity to visit the hospitals in their area of interest, as well as intern in the summer at the hospital.

The Greentree Health Science Academy is a partnership of Butler Tech, Atrium Medical Center, Warren County Career Center, Miami University Regionals, Cincinnati State Technical College, Sinclair Community College and Wright State University.
