What is Ohio TechCred and How Does It Work?
Ohio’s TechCred program helps employers offset the cost of short-term, industry- and technology-focused training. Employers apply directly through the State of Ohio and may receive up to $1,000 per employee, per credential, up to $30,000 per application period, for approved credentials.

How to Use TechCred at Butler Tech
- Explore eligible training. Find TechCred-eligible credentials that align with your workforce needs.
- Connect with Butler Tech. We’ll help identify training options and shape a solution for your team.
- Apply for TechCred. Employers apply directly through the State of Ohio during an open application period.
- Enroll your employees. Once approved, Butler Tech will help coordinate enrollment and training.
- Complete the credential. Employees complete the approved training and credential requirements.
- Request reimbursement. Submit the required documentation to the State of Ohio for eligible training costs.
