The Aviation Center at Middletown Regional Airport is a transformative investment made possible through strong public and private partnerships, bringing together Butler Tech, local aviation leaders, and regional stakeholders to expand access to aviation education. Opened in 2026, the purpose-built hangar facility houses Butler Tech’s Aviation: 3-Year Program, delivering immersive, hands-on training in aircraft maintenance, aviation technology, and career pathways across the aviation industry. The expanded program begins in students’ sophomore year, allowing them to spend three years building technical expertise, earning industry-recognized credentials, and engaging in authentic work-based learning experiences inside an active airport environment. Designed to meet the growing demand for aviation professionals across the region and beyond, the Aviation Center strengthens the workforce pipeline and prepares learners with the skills, experience, and confidence to launch high-wage, high-demand careers in aviation.
