D. Russel Lee Building

The D. Russel Lee Building on Butler Tech’s Fairfield Township Campus offers high school students a diverse selection of career programs that range from computer-based technologies, business services, to in-demand skilled trades. Our teachers are proud to help students learn a broad array of skills in their chosen field, while also learning to be intelligent leaders who are prepared for a career or to pursue a college degree.

All of the academic teachers are highly qualified in their content area, and lab instructors have extensive real world experience in the fields they teach. The combination leads to a unique learning environment that allows students to flourish.

  • Campus Life

Students attend Butler Tech their junior and senior years of high school, but they can be as involved with their home school as much as they choose to be. This includes extracurricular clubs, sports teams, band and more. You can still attend homecoming, prom, pep rallies and most other events at your home school. Bus services is provided from your home school, or you can drive your own vehicle.

  • Academics

The academic course selections in Math, English, Social Studies, and Science are aligned with state graduation requirements and the offerings of our associate school districts. These offerings enhance both job and post-secondary education opportunities.

Our students can get a jump start on college by taking Advanced Placement (AP) courses. These college-level courses stand out in the admissions process and are taught by skilled, inspiring instructors. Students can take AP Exams to earn college credit and placement – which helps reduce the cost of college!

  • Student Organizations

The hands-on experience gained at Butler Tech allows many students to earn co-op or apprenticeship opportunities while they are still in high school. Also, students participate in a Career Technical Student Organization (CTSO). CTSOs offer opportunities for leadership, community service, competitions and social events.
