Located at Butler Tech’s cutting-edge DRL campus, the Electrical Technology & Power Systems program combines classroom instruction with hands-on training. Students learn to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, read blueprints, and follow industry codes and safety standards. Real-world labs and co-op opportunities connect students directly to employers and industry mentors.
College Tech Prep Program
Electrical Technology and Power Systems combines college-like instruction with hands-on activities to prepare students for the technical occupations of the future, providing a pathway to an associate degree or beyond. Through post-secondary partnerships and statewide Career-Technical Assurance Guides (CTAGs), students may earn college credit while completing the Electrical Technology and Power Systems program.

Electrical Technology and Power Systems students participate in SkillsUSA, a national organization that empowers members with a structured program to build leadership and technical skills. Students showcase their talents in competitions and team-building events that connect them with industry leaders.
