Butler Tech Full Throttle logo For the second year, Butler Tech’s student-built racecar will take to the track to raise funds for tools for career tech students in need. The project dubbed the Full Throttle Fundraiser, began in 2021, with Butler Tech automotive technology students working to prepare the engine and body of a racecar to compete at the Lawrenceburg Speedway. The Friends of Butler Tech Foundation secured support from business partners to wrap the car with their logos. All funds raised go to assisting Butler Tech students with the necessary tools and supplies for career tech education.

“Last year every student in need of tools for school was covered by the funds raised by the Full Throttle Fundraiser!” shared Marni Durham, Butler Tech Assistant Superintendent.  “This truly is a project in which community members, businesses, and schools come together to cheer on those in need by using their career tech skills.  Let’s ride!”

The Friends of Butler Tech Foundation are currently securing business support ahead of this season of racing with the first race scheduled for April 22, 2023, at Lawrenceburg Speedway. To purchase tickets to attend the first race of the year email hoppev@butlertech.org.
