After a cancelation due to inclement weather earlier this year, Butler Tech successfully hosted another Apprenticeship Day, bringing together students and representatives from more than a dozen local trades. This event showcased apprenticeship opportunities in various fields, including construction, electrical, ironworking, roofing, and many more, aimed at guiding students toward fruitful careers.
The discussions focused on what these trades are looking for in future apprentices, including the skills and qualities needed for success, and the benefits of joining an apprenticeship program. This was an opportunity for students to learn about the cost-effective path apprenticeships offer towards skilled professions.
Butler Tech Adult Education’s Kelly Poole was there to talk about additional training options available after high school in areas like HVAC/R, welding, and computer-aided design, among others.
We thank all the partners who participated in the 2024 Apprenticeship Day, helping to highlight the opportunities Butler Tech offers for career readiness and success.
