This spring, Butler Tech is celebrating a group of high school seniors who are graduating with more than a diploma. Through Ohio’s College Credit Plus program, these students are earning their associate degrees at no cost while still in high school.
It’s a powerful example of what’s possible when rigorous academics and hands-on career technical education come together. Students are not only exploring their passions, they are accelerating their futures, saving thousands in tuition, and stepping into college and careers already ahead.
Many of these students completed the Associate of Applied Science in Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology through Sinclair Community College, gaining real-world skills aligned to high-demand careers in advanced manufacturing, automation, and engineering. Others earned Associate of Arts degrees through Cincinnati State, building a strong foundation for continued college pathways.
Opportunities like this continue to expand what the high school experience can be. Students are gaining more value from their time, building momentum toward their goals, and opening doors to both college and career pathways before they even graduate.
