BT Students Earn Top Honors at SkillsUSA Regional Competition

Students from Butler Tech’s D. Russell Lee, Colerain, Hamilton, and Northwest locations delivered an outstanding performance at the recent SkillsUSA Regional Competition, earning numerous top placements and advancing several competitors to the state level.
SkillsUSA competitions challenge students through long, high-pressure events that test technical skills, professionalism, leadership, and composure. Butler Tech students represented their programs with excellence, demonstrating both high-level ability and strong character throughout the day.
A special highlight of the event was senior Chase McDonald, who served as a SkillsUSA Regional Officer. Representing DRL on stage throughout the competition, he led with confidence and professionalism, making his school and organization proud.

In addition to their competitive success, judges and advisors praised Butler Tech students for their professionalism, teamwork, and support of one another throughout the event. Students demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship, celebrating each other’s achievements even when competing in the same categories. These accomplishments reflect months of preparation, hands-on training, and dedication to mastering industry-relevant skills. With multiple first-place finishes and strong performances across disciplines, Butler Tech looks forward to cheering these students on as they advance to the SkillsUSA State Competition.
