Butler Tech FIRST Robotics Teams Shine at Pittsburgh Regionals

Update

This past weekend the Butler Tech FIRST Robotics teams surpassed expectations at the Greater Pittsburgh Regional Competition. Over seven weeks, led by instructors Dave Campbell and Ray Frank, the teams collectively logged 7,000 hours of work on their robots. The results spoke for themselves as Team 325 remained undefeated throughout 12 matches, with their only loss coming at the hands of their sister team, Team 144.

The highlight of the event was an unexpected showdown between the two Butler Tech teams in the finals. Team 325, known as Respawn, emerged as the Regional Winners Alliance Captain. Additionally, Rick Oliver was recognized with the Woodie Flowers Finalist Award for his exceptional mentorship.

FRC team 144 Operation Orange finished as Regional Finalist Alliance Captain. The judges also recognized the team with the Imagery Award, which celebrates attractiveness in engineering and outstanding visual aesthetic integration of machine and team appearance.

We wish both teams success as they continue their season!
