Butler Tech/Lakota East High School’s Engineering Team has been named one of 300 State Finalists in the prestigious Samsung Solve for Tomorrow STEM competition. This national event encourages students in grades 6-12 to use STEM skills to address pressing community issues. The Lakota East team’s innovative project, the Search and Amphibious Vehicle for Immediate Operational Rescue (SAVIOR), is designed to aid in natural disaster situations, showcasing their exceptional problem-solving abilities. With a $2.5K prize already secured, the team is now preparing a detailed activity plan for the next competition stage, with State Winners to be announced in late January. We wish them good luck and respect for sharing the importance of STEM in shaping a sustainable future.
