Butler Tech Project SEARCH & Project LIFE named Partner of the Year

Update

Team members of Butler Tech’s transition programs, Project SEARCH & Project LIFE recently accepted the Partner of the Year award from the Butler County Board of Developmental Disabilities during their annual Community Recognition event. The award honors Butler Tech’s transition to work and adult life programs for students who receive special education services and the opportunity to learn and enhance daily living and employability skills in real-world learning environments through the Project SEARCH and Project LIFE programs.

“It’s hard to believe that we are beginning our seventeenth year of this partnership with Butler County Board of Developmental Disabilities. Those seventeen years represent hundreds and hundreds of young adults with disabilities gaining employment in our community and that is amazing! We couldn’t have done that without our partners at Butler County DD,” shared Tony Huff, Butler Tech Director of Student Services.

Currently, Butler Tech has seven total transition programs across the county, and Project LIFE is being actively replicated across the world in other communities. For more information on Butler Tech Project SEARCH and Project LIFE visit: www.butlertech.org/transition-programs
