Students in the Exercise Science program at Butler Tech Bioscience Center recently had the unique opportunity to host representatives from FC Cincinnati, including the club’s very first hire from ten years ago. Greeted with cheers, face paint, flags, and even drums, the visitors received a warm and energetic welcome that reflected the strong culture and spirit of Butler Tech.
Led by Exercise Science Instructor Leslie Fisher, students presented innovative ideas aligned with FC Cincinnati’s community outreach goals, focusing on promoting fitness, teamwork, and positive mental health. Students also highlighted their readiness to apply classroom knowledge in real-world settings by supporting FC Cincinnati’s summer camps and shadowing team trainers. As part of the visit, Exercise Science Instructor Nikki Drew also shared the success story of former student Shaun Dickerson.
Representatives from FC Cincinnati remarked that they had never received such a heartfelt welcome and were impressed by the students’ professionalism and enthusiasm! Butler Tech looks forward to continuing this dialogue and exploring potential next steps for partnership.
