Seniors in the Butler Tech Engineering Capstone classes presented their year-long projects to a crowd of over 100 family, friends, educators, district leaders, and members of the Butler Tech/Lakota Engineering Advisory Committee who gathered to celebrate the innovation, creativity, and technical skills of these future engineers.
The showcase featured:
An expo-style presentation of the capstone projects
Battlebot tournaments
A drone exhibition
Projects on display ranged from animatronics and architectural design to drone engineering, e-bikes, RC gliders, and more.
Members of the Engineering Advisory Committee in attendance included professionals from Synopsis Inc., University of Cincinnati, Butler County Engineer’s Office, Kinetic Vision, and AAA Vision and Imaging.
Student Isaac Denlinger shared, “It was cool that my parents and grandparents were able to see the project that I worked on this year. We are really proud of the drone we designed and glad we could show it off to everyone.”
Fellow senior Lauren Matlack added, “Many of us have been in the Butler Tech engineering program since 7th grade, and it was great for all of us to be together and showcase all the skills that we learned.”
