The fourth annual Butler Tech Entrepreneurship Fair was more than just an event — it was a celebration of student creativity, passion, and courage. This year, nearly 50 student-run businesses participated in the fair, making it the largest Entrepreneurship Fair in Butler Tech history. Every table, product, and conversation reflected the talent and ambition of students who are turning their ideas into something real.
The businesses represented a wide range of interests and cultures. Visitors could find everything from AI consulting companies and handmade floral bouquets to baked goods, hand-crocheted items, and Nepali-inspired hair pieces. Some students were launching businesses for the very first time, while others were continuing brands they’ve spent years building and growing. No matter the business, every student brought a story, a vision, and a willingness to put themselves out there.
The atmosphere throughout the event was energetic and welcoming, thanks in part to student DJ Christian, a sophomore at Butler Tech, who kept music playing throughout the fair. Families, staff, community members, and fellow students stopped by booths to support the young entrepreneurs, ask questions, purchase products, and hear directly from students about the businesses they created from the ground up.
What made the event even more meaningful was that it was completely student-led. Members of Startup Squad organized and led every part of the experience — from vendor communication and marketing to setup, logistics, and event management. Their leadership and teamwork were on full display throughout the day. Startup Squad, Butler Tech’s student leadership cohort for students with an entrepreneurial spirit, continues to create opportunities for students across the district to lead through creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
The Entrepreneurship Fair continues to show what makes Butler Tech special. Students are not only learning skills in the classroom — they are being trusted to lead, create, take risks, and build experiences that have a real impact. Butler Tech’s commitment to entrepreneurship gives students the opportunity to explore their passions in meaningful ways while developing confidence, communication skills, and real-world experience.
For many students, the fair was a reminder that their ideas matter. For others, it was proof that something that started as a hobby, sketch, recipe, or dream can grow into something much bigger. As the largest fair yet, this year’s event highlighted the incredible entrepreneurial spirit that continues to grow within Butler Tech and its students.
