Three minutes. Three slides. One partnership demonstrating what happens when education and industry work together.
At the August 18 Butler Tech Board of Education meeting, Modula helped launch a new 3 Minutes in 3 Slides Business Partner Spotlight, designed to highlight the relationships that connect Butler Tech students with industry, technology and real-world opportunities.
Amy Rasmussen, Business Development North America for Modula, shared how the company’s partnership with Butler Tech is helping students gain hands-on experience with the technologies and skills shaping today’s workforce.
Modula specializes in automated Vertical Lift Modules, technology designed to maximize storage space and improve organization and efficiency. Its Ohio manufacturing operation provides Butler Tech students with a connection to advanced automation and the evolving world of modern manufacturing.
Through Modula’s connections with Butler Tech’s Advanced Manufacturing and Aviation programs, students are gaining exposure to industrial automation, warehouse management and inventory systems, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, safety practices and Industry 4.0 technology—all while developing skills they can carry directly into the workforce.
Butler Tech Superintendent/CEO William Sprankles said the value of partnerships like Modula extends well beyond access to technology.
“Partnerships like the one we have with Modula give our students access to state-of-the-art technology, but the impact goes far beyond the equipment,” Sprankles said. “The mentorship our business partners provide—whether they’re working directly with students on our campuses or sharing their expertise through our Business Advisory Councils—is invaluable. Those relationships help students understand the industry, build professional skills and see what’s possible for their future.”
That connection between students and the professionals already working in their fields is an important part of preparing students for what comes next.
Modula described the partnership during its presentation as “Relationships in Action”—trusted partnerships that create future opportunities.
That same idea is at the heart of Butler Tech’s new Business Partner Spotlight. Every 3 Minutes in 3 Slides presentation will give Board members—and the broader Butler Tech community—a closer look at the businesses and organizations investing their time, expertise and resources in students.
Because when education and industry work together, students gain more than technical knowledge. They gain mentors, experiences, connections and a clearer view of where their skills can take them.
That’s partnership in action. And that’s So Much More.
