Located at 1015 Lila Avenue, the new site will serve as an official Class D driver testing location, helping teens and adults take the next step toward independence. It will soon expand to offer full driver’s education coursework and behind-the-wheel instruction.

This milestone was marked by strong support from local leaders, community partners, and state and federal representatives who gathered to recognize the importance of the expansion. Milford Police Chief Jamey Mills shared his appreciation for quality driver training. “As a police chief, I’m very familiar with the quality programs you have at Butler Tech,” he said. “But as a father of five boys, I’m very appreciative of good, quality driver’s instruction. In fact, I’m going to be sending one to you very soon.”

Clermont County Commissioner Claire Corcoran presented a certificate of recognition on behalf of the Board of Commissioners and shared gratitude for Butler Tech’s impact on the region’s workforce. Additional congratulations came from Joe Abner, representing Congressman Brad Wenstrup, who shared a certificate of federal recognition, and from State Representative Jean Schmidt, who sent a proclamation from the Ohio House. The Milford Miami Township Chamber of Commerce also presented a certificate and hosted the event.

Assistant Superintendent Nick Linberg reflected on the broader impact of the new location. “Transportation is one of our region’s biggest hurdles,” he said. “If I can transport myself, I can go to work, I can drive economic development, and I can have a safe place to live and work. That’s what we’re excited about—supporting our community in meaningful ways.”

Representatives from the Ohio BMV, Kip King, Program Administrator II for Ohio CDL, and David Scott, Driver Education Field Representative, were also in attendance to celebrate the expanded access to testing and training in the region.

Located in an area where public transportation is limited, the Milford site meets a growing need for reliable driver education. Whether it’s a 16-year-old earning their first license or an adult working toward new career opportunities, the facility will play a crucial role in supporting mobility, employment, and independence.
