Talawanda/Butler Tech FFA Members attend National Convention

Update

Forty-three Talawanda/Butler Tech FFA members invaded Indianapolis for the National FFA Convention in late October. The day started with the opening session, networking at the career show, student workshops, and a rodeo. It ended with the chapter being recognized as a National Three Star Chapter!

Below are additional awards and accolades earned by the team: 

Reserve Grand Champion Horse Judging Team in Tulsa, Oklahoma: Cecilia Guenther, Olivia Demoret, Kayla Lightfield & Olivia Zaenkert.

Talawanda/Butler Tech FFA – NATIONAL 3 STAR CHAPTER (highest ranking possible). Seniors/Chapter Officers that accepted the award on stage: Rachel Dsuban & Morgan Gillespie

American Degree Recipients from 2020 graduates: Kasey Condo, Dalton Schlichter & Michael Schwab. Only 1% of FFA membership earn this degree! They must also complete many other requirements such as 50+ hours of community service & have earned $10,000 & productively invested $7,500 in their Supervised Agricultural Experiences.

National FFA Extemporaneous Public Speaker representing Ohio FFA: 2020 grad Justin Beckner. He earned a Bronze rating! It is a HUGE honor to represent your state let alone rank at Nationals with a membership of more than 730,000 members.
