The Butler Tech Board of Education selected a new president and welcomed two new Board members at its organizational meeting on Jan. 10. Michael Berding, the representative from Fairfield City Schools, was sworn in as the new Board president. Berding has served on the Butler Tech Board of Education since 2015 and on the Fairfield City Schools Board of Education since 2014.

Pete Robinson, the representative from Madison Local Schools, was sworn in as the Board vice president. Robinson has served on the Butler Tech Board since 2013, having served as president for the past two years.

Ray Murray will serve as the new representative for Lakota Local Schools. Murray previously served as the Lakota representative from 2012 – 2013. Tom York will serve as the new representative from Edgewood City Schools.

Reappointed Board members sworn in at the meeting include:
Jim Detzel, Northwest Local Schools
Keith Klinefelter, Ross Local Schools
Lois Vollmer, Talawanda City Schools.
Other Board members currently serving include:
Brett Guido, Monroe Local Schools
Sue Price, New Miami Local Schools
Gregory Tyus, Middletown City Schools.

 

The Butler Tech Board of Education will meet regularly at 6:30 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month at the Butler Tech Educational Resource Center, located on the main campus in Fairfield Township.
