Emergency Medical Responder (EMR)

An Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) is a person trained to provide out-of-hospital care in medical and trauma emergencies. Students who successfully complete this course will possess the basic knowledge and skills necessary to provide lifesaving interventions while awaiting additional EMS response and to assist higher-level personnel at the scene and during transport.  Upon successful completion of this course, students are eligible to participate in the Ohio EMR psychomotor and NREMT cognitive exams.
