
FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ATTENDING BUTLER TECH CAMPUSES
SUMMER SCHOOL FOR CREDIT RECOVERY & INITIAL CREDIT COURSES
Butler Tech offers summer school credit recovery and initial courses to students who currently attend a campus program or students who have been accepted to one of our campuses for the upcoming school year (courses are not open to students who only attend Butler Tech programs in our associate schools). *Summer School courses are not NCAA approved.
Summer School will run from 8:00 am – 1:00 pm, daily beginning Tuesday, June 13th to Friday, July 14th, 2023 (No class on June 19th and July 4th, 2023).

Credit Recovery Courses
- Health, Physical Education (1/2 credit & 1/4 credit)
- English 9-12, Speech
- Algebra I & II, Geometry, Integrated Math I & II
- US History, World History, Government, Economics
- Biology, Chemistry, Physical Science, Environmental Science, Anatomy & Physiology
- Spanish, French, and German
- Financial Literacy (1/2 credit)
Initial Credit Courses
- Health, Physical Education (1/2 credit & 1/4 credit)*
- Spanish, French, and German
- Financial Literacy (1/2 credit)
*Students who need Health or Physical Education are strongly encouraged to take these courses during summer school, as they may not be offered during the regular school year.

We have two Summer School delivery options for students.
- Complete virtual option. (Edgenuity online course work and assessments, student-teacher Zoom meetings).
- Virtual with face-to-face assistance one day a week for each content area (Mondays – Math assistance, Tuesday – Social Studies assistance, Wednesday – Health & PE assistance, Thursday – Science assistance and Friday – English assistance).

The online learning system of our summer school courses is Edgenuity. Students can complete the courses at their own pace and test out of the material they have already mastered. Edgenuity classes are not NCAA approved.
Students can use their own computers to complete the courses at home if they have Internet access. Students with a Butler Tech issued laptop can connect to the Internet at the Fairfield Township Campus Wifi Zone (see information below).

All courses and exams must be completed no later than 1:00 pm on Friday, July 14th, 2023.

Parking Lot C at the Fairfield Township Campus is now filled with rich and savory wifi! All 62,000+ square feet of this student parking area sometimes referred to as the “Flagpole Lot” in front of the D. Russel Lee building (highlighted in yellow below), can support up to 100 Butler Tech issued laptops and Chromebooks.
- All Butler Tech Campus laptops and Chromebooks (Faculty, Staff, and Student) and laptops issued to Butler Tech Faculty at Fairfield, Hamilton, Lakota, NWLSD, Ross, and Talawanda can connect to this network. Users will be able to download and submit assignments, browse the web and install approved software, all from the comfort of their automobile.
- To serve as many of our students as possible, there is NO Guest Network available in this wifi Zone

A teacher is available in person, via Zoom, and through email, Monday-Friday from 8:00 am – 1:00 pm to assist students during the Summer School schedule.

To register virtually, students need to complete the Summer School registration information (see link on main page). Once a student completes the Summer School registration, an invoice for the registered courses’ cost will be emailed to the parent email provided on the registration form. The invoice email will be from “gaddh@butlertech.org.” The invoice will contain the amount due and directions on how to make a credit card payment. Once the credit card payment is received, the student/parent will receive their Edgenuity course login information from “caudilla@butlertech.org.” All students participating in summer school will be required to supply us with a signed Acceptable Use Policy (student and parent AUP signoffs), a completed Emergency Medical Form. Both the Acceptable Use Policy forms and the Emergency Medical Form must be signed by the parent/guardian.
We will also offer a face-to-face Summer School Registration (accepting cash, check, and credit cards) at the Fairfield Township Campus – School of the Arts building.

$50 per 1/2 credit course – $25 for 1/4 credit of physical education

Students who sign up for the virtual option can work anywhere they have a computer and Internet access.
Face-to-face assistance will be available daily during the summer school session at the Fairfield Township Campus, School of the Arts from 8:00 am – 1:00 pm, daily beginning Tuesday, June 13th to Friday, July 14th, 2023 (no class on June 19th and July 4th).

Earn A State Tested Nurse Aid (STNA) Industry Credential
Earn A 12 Point Industry Credential
Students who currently attend a Butler Tech campus program, and are at least 16 years of age, have an opportunity to earn a State Tested Nurse Aide (STNA) industry credential.
A state tested nurse aide (STNA) provides daily living services to patients in long-term care facilities and through home healthcare. Activities range from changing bedding, bathing, and grooming patients, assisting them with feeding, and monitoring vital signs.
Earning this credential can be used as a pathway for graduation. Campus students interested in this credential should reach out to Kelly Poole, 513-289-0389.
