Butler Tech staff, family, and friends recently gathered at the 8th annual SAE Tour during the Butler County Fair, a highlight of the year for our district’s Agricultural Education (Ag Ed) programs. This event is the culmination of months of hard work for many students, particularly those who choose to raise animals as part of their Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE).
During the fair, visitors had the opportunity to engage in a variety of interactive experiences, gaining insight into how our students extend their learning beyond the classroom. FFA members from the Edgewood, Ross, Talawanda, and Butler Tech FFA chapters led guided tours, offering an inside look at equine care and hands-on lessons on agricultural products related to livestock, produce, and poultry.
We are especially proud to recognize the Butler Tech FFA members who were honored with fair royalty titles this year:
- Fair Queen: Emma Puckett (Talawanda)
- 1st Runner-Up Queen: Morgan Sloan (Edgewood/Butler Tech)
- Horse Queen: Makayla Krazl (Edgewood)
- Sheep Queen: Alexys Manning (Talawanda)
- FFA Queen: Kelsey Harrington (Talawanda/Butler Tech)
- Swine Queen: Lily Blevens (Butler Tech Alumna)
These students exemplify dedication and talent and we are proud to celebrate their achievements at this year’s fair. The SAE Tour not only showcases the hard work and commitment of our students but also highlights the impactful guidance of our teachers, who play a crucial role in nurturing these future leaders in agriculture.
