The Honorary Chapter FFA Degree is an honor bestowed upon individuals who go above and beyond to support the FFA chapter and Ag Ed program. Each year, the students select an individual who has made a significant impact on the program, and this year, Josh Baker was chosen for his support and dedication.

For many years, Josh has been a familiar face to the Butler Tech/Edgewood FFA community. As a bus driver, Josh has not only transported FFA members to various events and activities but has taken the time to build genuine relationships, becoming a positive role model and mentor along the way. He has accompanied students on trips to National and State Conventions, Farm Tours, Ag Ball tournaments, and more, making sure each member has a great experience.

“Josh Baker has supported our chapter for many years,” shared Kellie Beiser, Agricultural Education Instructor/FFA Advisor. “He requests to be a part of our chapter, and all of our members enjoy his presence.”

Following Josh receiving the award, he sent a thank-you letter to the chapter, and his words of gratitude moved many of the seniors to tears, highlighting the mutual respect and admiration between Josh and the FFA members.

Congratulations Josh! Your involvement is evidence of the profound impact that dedicated mentors and supporters have on our students’ lives.
