November BT Chain – Staff Awards

Update

We would like to recognize these outstanding Butler Tech employees
for their exemplary work and dedication to Butler Tech!

Tiffany Jones, Secondary Recruitment Coordinator

Tiffany was awarded the BT Leadership Chain for her outstanding planning and facilitation of the 2021 high school recruitment process. Butler Tech is making changes to the secondary application process in order to ensure equity and access to all of our programs for all students. Tiffany has been an integral leader through this transition process and will continue to see recruitment through Career Days, Small Group Tours, Open Houses, and the acceptance process in early spring.

Dorothy Keith, Secretary at Natural Science Center

Dorothy was awarded the BT Leadership Chain for her creation of an honor wall of Veterans for those closest to the students and staff of Butler Tech. She solicited the names, photos, and artifacts of students, teachers, and administrators who have either served in the armed forces themselves or have family members who are or have served our country. With the help of several students from the Natural Science Center, including those in the National Technical Honor Society and Student Ambassadors, Dorothy created a display that spans several walls and display cases and includes photos, uniforms, and other military memorabilia.

Rich Packer, Aviation Exploration Instructor

Rich Packer was awarded the BT Instructional Chain for his instrumental leadership since he was hired at BT. He has spearheaded the design and implementation of our Aviation Pathway, facilitating world-class opportunities for students such as in-flight experiences, real-world internships, and places relationships as the cornerstone of his classroom. He is impacting the local community and leading the future in Career Technical Education.
