Update

Despite being competitors, the team is sharing Butler Tech’s practice facility ahead of the upcoming competition in Knoxville, Tennessee. Cyber Unicorn shipped their robot in a crate ahead of the team member’s arrival and have spent several days reassembling and readying the robot for their chance to showcase their skills and compete against the best in the world this weekend.Respawn Robotics team with Cyber Unicorn

The FIRST Robotics Competition is an international competition that challenges high school students to design, build, and program robots to compete in a game that changes every year. Butler Tech’s Respawn team has already competed in several regional competitions this season and has welcomed the opportunity to share their training facility and passion for robotics with the team members of Cyber Unicorn. The Cyber Unicorn team has its own unique approach to robotics, and both teams have been eager to learn from each other. They’ve worked together to share ideas, brainstorm solutions to problems, and fine-tune their robots’ performances.

The Butler Tech Respawn team is grateful for the opportunity to host such talented and inspiring guests. Although Cyber Unicorn is a competitor, win or lose, the true value of the FIRST Robotics competition is in the connections they are making and the knowledge gained.

We wish both teams the best of luck in the competition!
