Three-Year Program Tours Help Freshmen Make Informed Choices

Update

Freshmen from Butler Tech’s associate school districts recently had a final opportunity to tour and explore Butler Tech’s three-year career-tech programs before submitting their applications for the 2025-2026 school year. These tours were designed specifically for students with a strong interest in applying, by offering an in-depth look at their potential future pathways.

The programs highlighted included the 10th Grade Career Exploration Academy, the new 10th Grade Health Science Academy, 3-Year Aviation, 3-Year Engineering, 3-Year Information Technology, 3-Year Precision Machining, and 3-Year Welding. Led by Butler Tech’s 10th Grade Teaching Team, Student Ambassadors, and student volunteers in the labs, the visiting students experienced hands-on demonstrations, learned about curriculum and career opportunities, and spent extended time in their first-choice program to help them make an informed decision.

“These tours are essential in giving students the confidence to make a decision that best aligns with their interests and future goals,” said Tiffany Jones, Butler Tech’s Enrollment Specialist. “Having face-to-face interactions with current students allows them to hear firsthand experiences, ask questions, and truly see themselves in these programs.”

The event provided an immersive and engaging experience, ensuring that students considering Butler Tech for their education have all the information they need to take the next step toward their future.
