Voice of the Blue-Collar Worker Survey Results and Scholarship Presentation

Update

Butler Tech recently hosted the Manufacturing Event: Voice of the Blue-Collar Worker Survey Results and Diversity Scholarship in Advanced Manufacturing presentation.

VonLehman CPA & Advisory Firm partnered with ResourceMFG, who shared the results of the survey shedding light and providing an industry update so that those in attendance can support the blue-collar workers and move forward together.

According to the survey results, the importance of blue-collar work to our economic health and quality of life has been brought into sharp focus throughout the pandemic, and so have the challenges faced by working Americans each day. The Voice of the Blue-Collar Worker survey is the nation’s largest survey of America’s hourly workers.

“Thank you to Butler Tech for allowing VonLehman CPA & Advisory Firm and ResourceMFG to host our ‘Voice of the Blue-Collar Worker’ event at your facility. As advisors within the manufacturing industry, it was informative to learn the needs of workers within manufacturing and do our part to help guide the future towards success,” shared Beth Vice, Shareholder and Manufacturing & Distribution Department Lead at VonLehman CPA & Advisory Firm.

Additionally, VonLehman presented Shandon Fingers, a current Butler Tech Adult Education student in the Industrial Maintenance Technology Program, with the Diversity Scholarship in Advanced Manufacturing. The scholarship will support his next steps by covering expenses related to tuition, books, and fees.

“Receiving this scholarship will go a way toward easing the financial burden of pursuing higher education and thus make the dream possible,” shared Fingers upon receiving the award. “I appreciate the opportunity to further chase my professional, personal, and financial goals. I’m not one to count my eggs before they hatch, but receiving this means a lot to me. It is an investment not only in my education but myself and my efforts to improve myself and my future career path.”
