Fire Company Officer

Designed to meet the 2009 edition of NFPA 1021, Standard for Fire Officer Professional qualifications. Current officers and aspiring officers will benefit from this program.

Fire Knowledge Exam

The Fire Knowledge Exam is for individuals seeking to qualify as an Assistant Fire Instructor, or as a pre-requisite for the Fire Instructor Course

Fire/EMS Instructor

50 hours instruction of adult students and basic teaching techniques; 8 hours in instruction specific to the field of student (EMS or Fire); 2 hours toward completion of the techniques exam; an additional 10 hours of supervised teaching is required for State of Ohio Certification after the completion of the course.

Private Security Firearms

This 20 hour training course meets the training requirements of ORC Section 4749.10 covering private security firearms training. Students/security officers should bring their unloaded handgun and an appropriate holster that fits their particular handgun model and caliber, 2 magazines with holders or at least 1 speed loader that is the correct type/size for their revolver, eye & ear protection, billed ballcap, and 250 rounds of ammunition. A limited number of handguns are available to rent at a price of $35.

Private Security Firearms Re-qualification

This course meets the requirements of ORC Section 4749.10 for the annual re-qualification of a private security officer that is authorized to carry a firearm. Students/security officers should bring their unloaded handgun and an appropriate holster that fits their particular handgun model and caliber, 2 magazines with holders, eye & ear protection, billed ballcap, and 100 rounds of ammunition. A limited number of handguns are available to rent at a price of $35.
